Nicole’s Work

Nicole had always been keen on acting, and has had minor and guest-star roles in shows such as Six Feet Under, Chuck and American Dreams.

Her big-screen debut was made in 2005 when she played Kelly Stepford in the comedy drama Kids in America.

Many people know Nicole best for her roles on reality TV; this book of course features an entire section dedicated to her time with Paris in The Simple Life ; she has also featured as a guest judge on fashion show Project Runway.

In 2005, Nicole released a fictional book called The Truth about Diamonds which reached number 32 in the New York Times Bestseller list.

The story revolved around a girl (called Chloe Parker) who is a singer’s adopted daughter. Chloe parties her was around Hollywood nightclubs whilst battling a drug addiction. You therefore won’t be too surprised to learn that it is broadly based on her own life...

By 2008, plans were announced that involved turning the novel into a TV series - however the idea never got past the discussion stage and sadly the project didn’t make it off the ground.

Nicole’s second novel (called Priceless ) was released in September 2010. Although featuring elements one expects quite personal to Nicole, it wasn’t quite as close to home as her first effort. The story follows a girl who had it all but then lost everything, learning what really matters in life.

Along with her (now) husband, in 2007 Nicole formed a charity called the Richie Madden Children’s Foundation.

Always keen to dedicate her time to worthy causes, Nicole has worked alongside UNICEF on more than one occasion in support of projects such as raising $100,000 to bring water pumps to villages in Africa, working with a foundation to provide shelter for homeless families in LA and generating aid for Myanmar which had been laid waste to by a powerful hurricane.

In addition to the hard work that Nicole regularly puts in for good causes, every season she also has a wardrobe clear-out, generously donating her previous outfits to charity.
